Show and Tell

There are so many talented people in this world. Miranda is one of them. She lives in Austin and made this adorable quilt out of the various fabrics I designed.

Shawn, I love your fabrics, you are talented. Check out Target's rainboots online called Dots Spots. They remind me of Lollidots.

WoW Northwest! I Did! They did look a lot like my lollidot. Here I thought I was being original making it look like the wrapping on Wonder Bread. ;O)

Thanks Michele! I think so, too! I would think there's a huuuge market for really cute, vibrant fun quilts.

Now I'll be looking for Spot and... what was the kitty/s name? My mother was named Jane, and my Aunt is Sally (who was "curly and blonde" when small)-- so I always had a particular fondness for them. Did you have to buy a license from the publisher?

The kitty's name was Puff. :O)

How cute that your mom and sister were named Sally and Jane.

Yes, we do have a license from the publisher. with a large style guide that I must follow . There are limited phrases and words and images we can use. I make the most of it and do the best I can within the guidelines. You can see some other cool stuff that people made from the Dick and Jane fabric at our company blog: http://www.makingitfun.blogspot.com

Then Mum went and married "Bob." Smith. So they were Jane and Bob Smith. VERY VERY common at the time. (I'm sure the commonness of it chafed her horribly!) I'll go investigate the other product lines! Go, Puff, Go!... and now to work. ;-)
